The practices of yoga during pregnancy can do much to
improve your overall well-being. Yoga postures are adapted
specifically to prepare your body and mind for birth through
gentle stretching, breathing techniques and deep relaxation. These can be of enormous benefit to help you before
and during birth and labour - as well as after you've
had your baby. Yoga helps you develop a deeper connection
with your baby before as well as after birth.
Yoga birth preparation workshops
Three hour workshops for you and your partner to attend to help you both through labour and birth held regularly at YOGABASE, please go to the retreats & workshop page for dates.
Testimonials
"I just wanted to let you know that our baby boy, Jacob Thomas Wallace, was born on 12 May. We had a water birth at UCH and we're both doing well - he is absolutely beautiful!
I'd also like to say a huge thank you for the pregnancy yoga classes. They were so valuable to me, physically and emotionally, in my journey through pregnancy, bonding with my baby before he was born, preparing for the birth and during the birth itself. I think all of this really helped me in going into the birth with a positive frame of mind and in having a natural birth experience" best wishes Esther
"I just wanted to write to say thanks for your great pregnancy yoga classes at yogabase. I came along until I had my baby in late October.
My little girl was born on 24 October at the Whittington birth centre and I had a completely drug free natural birth. I used the yoga positions and breathing we used in class to stay relaxed throughout the contractions and labour - they were great" thanks Mione
